Follow up Investigation From Auto Burglary Leads to Discovery of Drug Den

On Sunday night, patrol officers took a report of a burglary from a vehicle on Walnut Ave.  In the course of following up and chasing down the stolen property, they came across a bona fide drug den in an apartment at 131 Felix Street.

Officers contacted 6 people in the apartment.  Some of the suspects immediately engaged in the Drug User’s Decathlon where they tested their ability to jump from a back window and sprint from a pursuing officer, while throwing evidence.

In all, 6 people were arrested for charges ranging from being under the influence of drugs, to visiting or maintaining a drug house.  Five of the six are on probation and four of them being Probation All Stars with multiple terms of probation piled on top of each other.

Great work and follow up by our patrol team!!

As for the apartment, it was a filthy mess of used needles and drug paraphernalia.  There were even a couple of loaded needles (meaning they had heroin in them waiting to be injected).

Here are some photos just to illustrate the point.
