This weekend, KSBW President and General Manager Joseph W. Heston's editorial piece focuses on the manner in which the Santa Cruz Police Department, along with other local law enforcement agencies, handled the Occupy movement in Santa Cruz. The editorial characterized our handling of the Occupy situation in Santa Cruz as a "shining example" when compared to clumsily handled situations in other jurisdictions. KSBW offered, "Kudos for the finesse shown by police and sheriff's deputies for how they handled a potentially ugly situation with Occupiers."
