The
Santa Cruz Police Department has identified persons of interest in the follow
up investigation of the stabbing on September 16, 2013.
Mitra Osho Orescan, 22 yrs
Lauren Michelle Lotz, 22 yrs
Mitra Orescan currently has a warrant for his arrest from previous
traffic and narcotics offenses. He was arrested
by SCPD on September 9, 2013 for Child Endangerment. He was out of custody and at the stabbing
incident on September 16th.
Orescan has a history of drug and traffic related contacts with the
police department.
Lauren Lotz is only a person of interest in this case. She does not have any active wants or warrants.
Detectives are still looking for the blue Dodge Quad Cab truck and driver that transported the stabbing victim to the hospital following the incident. Here's an image of the truck we captured from surveillance video

Detectives believe the motive for the stabbing was a confrontation over
a drug deal. Our victim has not been a huge help to the investigation, but we are working through it in spite of this.
