On the evening of April 17th, Santa Cruz Police
Department alcohol unit officers participated in a shoulder tap and general
alcohol enforcement operation. A minor decoy stood outside of five businesses
that sell alcohol and tried to get adults to purchase alcohol. In all, three
people were cited for purchasing alcohol for minors. One was of the cited adults, was also arrested
for an outstanding felony narcotics warrant out of Los Angeles County.
Funding for these operations comes from a state ABC grant.
