Name That Thief - Help Us Identify This Surf Clothing Thief

Believe it or not….It is time for another round of Name That Thief.

This case involves a suspect who used a stolen credit card to purchase about $1,600 in surf clothing from O’Neill.   Dude!  It’s just not cool to rip off a local icon like that!.....or any of our businesses for that matter!

After O’Neill he tried to use the card to get about $2,000 in surf clothes from Pacific Wave.  They chapped him and asked for ID.  He left the store and tried again at O’Neill.  This time they chapped him too and declined the purchase.   Because of the suspicious nature of things, we were called and a report was taken.

The theft happened on Sunday September 21st at approx. 2:45 PM.

Officer “Big Wave” Dave Albert did the legwork and followed up with the card owner and got video.  Turns out the card was stolen from a hotel room at a nice resort outside the city.  The card was stolen the day prior.  Here are the images from the video:
Here is the suspect actually swiping the credit card  at the cash register reader:
We’re betting someone recognizes this thief and will give us the tip.

Help us “Bum His Voyage”, and arrest this surf clothing thief.
