Felony Arrests: A One Week Look

Over the last week we've taken a look at crime stats in our community - including the number of citations given in a regular week. Today we are looking at a week of felony arrests. What were they for? How many arrests were made?

From August 13-20 the Santa Cruz Police Department made 52 felony arrests. Here are the 5 most common felony arrests, in order, for that week:

1. Possession of a Controlled Substance 
2. Possession of Controlled Substance for Sale/Paraphernalia 
3. Domestic Violence 
4. Parole Hold/Felony Warrant
5. Burglary
