PRIDE Program visits KION

Last week participants in the Police Department's PRIDE program visited the studios of KION "Your Central Coast News".  The PRIDE (Personally Responsible Individual Development in Ethics) Program is a multifaceted approach to early gang prevention for local intermediate school-aged kids.  The program is designed to educate, mentor and guide at-risk youth in the decision-making process.   

KION treated the group to behind-the-scenes tours of the newsroom studio and control room.  Several even got to try their hand at weather reporting on the "green screen".  "You're watching Central Coast News where we have a weekend in every forecast"...Right Norm!
