Remember this guy…
We
featured him on our blog on March 11th
He was captured on video
stealing a bike from a business on Soquel Ave. While riding on the stolen bike,
he rode by a woman who was walking on the sidewalk and attempted a purse snatch
while running into her. Our victim
managed to hang on to her purse and, thankfully, sustained only minor bumps and
soreness.
Miguel Angel Sanchez – 25 years
old
Mr. Sanchez identifies his
address as 115 Coral St
Once identified, our
officers distributed a flyer to law enforcement agencies in the area. The good officers at Capitola Police spotted
him yesterday and scooped him up for us.
They turned Mr. Sanchez over to our detectives where we interviewed him and
booked him into County Jail. At the time
of his arrest, Mr. Sanchez had other items in his possession that we suspect are
stolen. We will be following up on that
property.
Mr. Sanchez has a bit of a
history of citations and arrests with local law enforcement in Capitola and
Santa Cruz.
