SCPD Welcomes New Police Officer Jeff Brouillette

Police Chief Kevin Vogel conducted the official swearing in of Police Officer Jeffrey Brouillette. Chief Vogel and staff welcomed him into the Santa Cruz Police Department ranks.

“This bears repeating every time I swear in a new police officer to our SCPD family. It is a proud moment for those who have chosen to serve and put your life on the line for the safety and service of others", said Chief Vogel.

Officer Brouillette graduated from the South Bay Regional Public Safety Training Consortium in September 2015. Before a career in law enforcement, Jeff worked at the Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Shop as a ski and snowboard technician. Officer Brouillette’s mother had the honor of placing his badge in the official badge pinning.

Chief Vogel commented, “We are proud to bring Officer Brouillette into the SCPD family”.
Officer Brouillette will be partnered with veteran officers during his four month Field Training Program. Upon successful completion, he will be assigned to a patrol team.
